Hiraoka Yuta

The boy's pretty, intelligent (an assumption that I think I shall not regret having made) and sensitive. And did I mention pretty? We first spotted his pretty face in the mass of pretty faces in Gokusen I. And then in First Kiss and Tatta Hitotsu no Koi. I have always been very miffed by the fact that he has never had strong lead roles; he is always the cute, sensitive sidekick. Anywho, here he is!

Ryo Nishikido - the biggest Ore-sama in Johnny's. Someone once rightly said that he has the ego the size of a small country. Why do we like him, then? There are numerous reasons and as always -

1) is the fact that he is pweeety
2) he is mean 0_o
3) but so sexy
4) when he is angry he looks so very sexy
5) the reasons don't make sense because being pretty allows you to get away without explanations


Quite possibly my favourite Johnny's, with competition only from Aiba.

I have a paper due tomorrow and I shall do whatever I can to procrastinate and extend the period of pain and suffering. Which is why I am updating the pretty boy of the week section. And this week we have Jerry Yan. Former member of F4 and better known as Dao Ming Si from Meteor Garden (the Taiwanese Hana Yori Dango), he really deserves to be constantly voted one of Asia's hottest men. He is beautiful; pretty is perhaps the wrong word to use for him. Anywho, his new drama "Down with Love" is doubly exciting because it has Ella Chen too. Ella and Jerry- quite possibly two of my favorite Asian stars. I love this drama already even though we're only on episode two. It's a crossover of Hana Kimi and Coffee Prince. And I love it! Here he is, then. Jerry Yan.

Ikuta Toma

So much more endearing than Oguri Shun in Hana Kimi, and infinitely hotter than him, Ikuta Toma is a Johnny's boy too. I think he is in a band but I doubt it's very busy. Toma is pretty but I think his appeal lies primarily in his ability to be so unaffected by his prettiness. His "ore wa homo janai" dance with panties on his head in Hana Kimi ought to go down in my list of top ten funniest moments in Asian drama viewing experience. Also, he was pretty cool in Maou, a drama where the normally poker faced Ohno Satoshi of Arashi, was terrific. Yes, ladies. This one can be taken home to meet the parents.

p.s. I don't think R is going to agree on the whole Oguri Shun being less attractive than Ikuta Toma. Muhaha.

Wu Zun or Chun or whichever way he wants to spell it. From the Taiwanese band Fahrenheit/ Fei Lun Hai. As far as I am concerned he deserves to be the pretty boy every day! First seen by me in the Taiwanese Hana Kimi. I am not even going to talk about how gorgeous he is because only an idiot would think he isn't. I absolutely adore him. In R's and my own top ten list of Asian superstars, Wu Zun is wayyyyy up there. :P
